Disney Photoshop

I Photoshopping the pictures of my trips to Walt Disney World and Disneyland in the weeks after a vacation makes it seem as though my visit is still ongoing!  Click any image to view at a larger size.

A PRIVATE TOUR OF DISNEY

I have always wanted to see how Walt Disney World would appear without people, so I have Photoshopped the tourists out of my pictures from the last several trips.  I’ve made hundreds of images depicting the parks and hotels completely empty.

To erase the tourists at the Adventureland Sign in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, I took several pictures and combined them.  I wasn’t able to eliminate all of the people this way – I still had to build some background details.

I took the source photo for the Mad Tea Party at Disneyland before I thought of Photoshopping my vacation pictures, so I didn’t take multiple shots.  I did happen to take two pictures, though, and combining them helped eliminate many of the tourists.

To cover some visitors, I added objects that do not actually exist in the location.  I also replaced the sky with a more interesting one, though I do not believe one usually sees many clouds in the Los Angeles area.

I  took only one source photo for this picture of Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World.  I wasn’t planning to Photoshop the tourists out of this picture; the crowd was so large that I decided it would be too time consuming.

When I realized that a picture of a car I had taken earlier in the day could be used to cover most of the tourists and make the picture more visually interesting,  I wished that I had taken more than one shot of the street!  It would have saved me the trouble of building details such as the apparel display seen through the open door in the foreground.
